Terms for using PsyShare
These Terms explain who can access PsyShare, how the professional network operates, and your responsibilities when sharing anonymised referrals or participating in discussions. They apply to everyone who creates an account or uses the network.
In short: PsyShare is an invite-only network for verified UK psychologists. Referral content must remain anonymised, and discussion spaces are moderated to support a safe and professional community.
How we collect and manage your information is explained in our Privacy Policy.

About these terms
These terms set out the rules for using PsyShare, a private, invite-only professional network for verified psychologists in the UK. By creating an account or using PsyShare, you agree to these Terms. Please read them carefully before using the platform.
PsyShare is operated by JP & RG Ltd (company number 15293777), a company registered in England and Wales with its registered office at 71-75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London, WC2H 9JQ. In these terms, “we”, “us”, and “our” mean JP & RG Ltd. Information about how we collect and use personal information is provided separately in our Privacy Policy.
Eligibility and access
PsyShare is a professional network intended for verified psychologists practising in the UK.
Registration is invite-only and requires a valid invitation code. Access to member areas, including referrals and discussions, is provided once professional eligibility has been verified.
We may limit, delay, or decline access where we are unable to confirm eligibility.
You are responsible for keeping your login details secure and for any activity that takes place through your account.
Acceptable use
You must use PsyShare lawfully, responsibly, and for its intended purpose: professional networking, referral sharing, and discussion between psychologists. You must not:
- use the platform in a way that breaches applicable laws, regulations, or professional standards
- attempt to access another member's account or restricted areas of the platform
- interfere with the security, integrity, or functioning of the service
- use PsyShare to send spam, unrelated advertising, or content unrelated to the purpose of the network
Referral content and anonymisation
Referral summaries shared through PsyShare must be anonymised. Members must not upload or disclose patient-identifiable information within the network.
You remain responsible for the information you choose to share and for ensuring this is consistent with your own professional, ethical, legal, and regulatory responsibilities.
PsyShare includes automated checks designed to help identify content that may contain identifying information. These checks provide an additional safeguard but do not replace members’ responsibility to ensure referrals are appropriately anonymised before sharing.
Discussion spaces and moderation
Discussion spaces are provided for professional exchange between verified members. Content may be moderated, edited, removed, or restricted where it breaches these Terms, privacy requirements, professional standards, or the intended purpose of the network. Members can also report content for review.
PsyShare may suspend or remove access where use of the platform is inappropriate, misleading, unlawful, harmful to the network, or inconsistent with its professional purpose.
Your account and communications
To run the service, we send essential account and security emails — for example, email verification, password resets, and important account or membership updates. These are necessary to provide the service and cannot be switched off while your account remains active.
All other notifications are optional. Activity emails — such as referral interest, nominations, status updates, and new messages — can be turned off, and push notifications to your devices are only sent if you opt in. You can manage your in-app, email, and push notification preferences in your profile and turn email or push notifications off at any time.
Content and intellectual property
You retain ownership of the content you share on PsyShare and remain responsible for ensuring it is appropriate to post.
By using the service, you allow PsyShare to store, process, and display your content where needed to operate the platform — for example, displaying a referral to relevant clinicians or showing a discussion post to other members.
The PsyShare name, branding, design, and software remain the property of PsyShare or our licensors.
Not a clinical, legal, or emergency service
PsyShare supports professional referral sharing and discussion between clinicians. Information shared through the platform does not constitute legal advice, clinical supervision, clinical decision-making, or a guarantee that any referral will be accepted.
PsyShare is not a service for members of the public and is not a route for accessing therapy, crisis support, or emergency assistance. Clinicians remain responsible for managing any clinical, safeguarding, or professional responsibilities relating to their own work and referrals.
Availability and liability
PsyShare is provided on an as-available basis. We may update, pause, or withdraw parts of the service at any time, including features, moderation tools, referral workflows, or public-site content. We do not guarantee that the service will always be available or error-free.
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for losses arising from your use of, or inability to use, the service, or from decisions made in reliance on information shared through the platform. You remain responsible for your own professional judgement, clinical decisions, and interactions with other members.
Nothing in these Terms limits any liability that cannot be limited under law.
Suspending or ending access
We may suspend or end your access if you breach these Terms, if your eligibility can no longer be confirmed, or where necessary to protect members, the platform, or the integrity of the network.
You can request closure of your account at any time.
Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms as PsyShare develops. When significant changes are made, we will update the date shown on this page. Continuing to use PsyShare after changes are made means you accept the updated Terms.
Governing law and contact
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction over any dispute relating to them.
If you have any questions about these Terms, please contact us through our contact page.
