Account deletion
Delete your PsyShare account
How to permanently delete your PsyShare account and personal data, either from within the app or by contacting us, and what is removed.
In short: you can delete your account and data at any time from Profile → Delete Account in the app, or by emailing support@psyshare.co.uk if you no longer have the app installed.

Delete your account from within the app
The quickest way to delete your account is inside PsyShare: sign in, open Profile, scroll to “Delete Account”, and confirm. Deletion is immediate and permanent.
This option is available in the web app and in the PsyShare iOS and Android apps.
Request deletion without the app
If you have uninstalled the app or cannot sign in, email us from the address associated with your account and we will delete your account and associated personal data. We may ask you to confirm ownership of the account before we proceed.

We aim to complete verified deletion requests within 30 days.
What is deleted
When your account is deleted we permanently remove:
- your profile and professional details
- referrals you posted, and your enquiries and messages
- forum threads and replies you authored
- your notifications and push-notification device registrations
What is retained
Some records are kept but permanently unlinked from you (de-identified):
- anonymous forum contributions remain visible but can no longer be traced back to you
- moderation and audit records required for the safe operation of the network are retained with your identity removed
- limited records we are required to keep for legal, regulatory, or security reasons
This cannot be undone
Account deletion is permanent. Once completed it is not possible to recover your account or the data associated with it. If you later wish to rejoin, you would need a new invitation and to register again.
